On December 13, 2018, a delegation from the National Sports Foundation of the Republic of Moldova visited the Technical University of Moldova. An agreement of cooperation and interaction between these two structures was signed during this visit.
The agreement was signed by the leaders of these organizations: Mr. Ion Vinaga, President of the NSF, and Mr. Viorel Bostan, Rector of the TUM.
According to the document, the Parties agreed on general cooperation in creating conditions for systematic physical and sports education, development and promotion of physical education and sports education among students, the formation of a healthy lifestyle.
In order to implement these areas of work, it is intended to exchange information, analyze the state of physical culture and sport among students in the higher education institution, consultations, joint working meetings, round tables and other events to develop proposals on topics of interest for each other.
In the field of scientific, innovative and methodological cooperation, the parties agreed on the joint implementation of experimental and innovative activities in the field of physical culture and sport.
As the President of NSF has pointed out, the main thing is that the measures and events stipulated in the Agreement are to be carried out by both parties. "I am sure that young people, who actively engage in physical culture and sport, maintain a healthy lifestyle, have a wonderful and happy future. Our cooperation must bring results," said Mr. Vinaga.
In his turn, Rector of TUM Mr. Bostan reiterated that physical culture and sport are actively cultivated in the university. Students, graduates and teachers have excellent results in competitions at different levels. "The signing of a co-operation agreement is the first step towards long-term and productive friendship and cooperation in science, education and sports," said Mr. Bostan.
