On April 17, 2018, a collaboration agreement between the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the DAYS Capital Foundation AG was signed by the President of the ASM, Academician Gheorghe Duca, and Co-founder of the Foundation, Mr. Ion Vinaga. According to the document, The Parties are required to perform the tasks on organization of the scientific conferences in order to promote the DAYS.exchange Project all over the world. Project activities will be carried out in accordance with accepted research practice, with all applicable legislation and regulations, as well as all rules and guidelines of relevance to the implementation of the Project, including recognized quality standards and norms.
Mr. Ion Vinaga, Co-founder of the Foundation, noted that the DAYS Foundation signed a collaboration agreement with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova to promote science, innovation, and advanced technologies. "We are interested in working together with scientists, and not only from the Republic of Moldova, to consolidate the scientists in all fields and to promote our idea in terms of the human life longevity," the businessman said.
The President of the ASM, Academician Gheorghe Duca believes that this agreement is a pioneering one, expressing hope that similar agreements will be signed with both the ASM and other scientific organizations from other regions and countries. "We have accepted and we are very pleased that the proposal to conclude an agreement with this Foundation with Swiss-English international participation came in, in which the Co-founder Mr. Ion Vinaga came up with the proposal to promote the events, organized by the Academy and scientists at an international level. Our scientists and researchers face great difficulties in being promoted inside the country and we have many problems, including the fact that we are not appreciated at our right value. We hope that through this Foundation, things will change for the better, "said President Duca. At the same time, the academician remarked that this is happening for the first time in the last 7 years, since our country joined the European programs, when a foundation came to help out, thanking the businessman for this supporting initiative. In the context, the president specified that soon the writer, the journalist, the correspondent member of the Academy of Sciences, the honorary member of the Romanian Academy Mr. Nicolae Dabija, will celebrate his 70th anniversary, and on this occasion the Presidium of the ASM will organize a homage conference dedicated to the great intellectual. President Duca proposed that the collaboration on the basis of the signed agreement should be felt already in organizing the anniversary event, dedicated to a great creator, a personality "who described the archival activity at the scientific level".
Mr. Nicu Danilov, Executive Director of the Foundation, being present at the signing of the agreement, noted that the first event will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Oxford University (UK), where the Foundation's first official presentation will take place. The starting event in Oxford will be attended by representatives of the academic community, academics, Oxford professors, who will present the idea of the Foundation's development and operation.
The duration of the agreement is 5 years and it enters into force from the date of being signed by both parties.
