The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Dezvoltări recente în dreptul obligațiilor”

On 4 and 5 October 2018, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Dezvoltări recente în dreptul obligațiilor” was held at the Faculty of Law of Moldova State University. A significant event that marked the legal field, both nationally and internationally.

The conference was organized by Juridice Moldova with the support of the East European Foundation from Moldova and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).

The event was attended by practitioners from different states as well as lawyers from the Republic of Moldova, such as those from BLACK SWAN Law Firm.

Of particular importance were the following:

  • A series of theoretical and practical questions concerning the field of liability law were discussed and shared within the Conference.
  • The amendments to the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova, which are due to enter into force on 1 January 2019, have also been addressed.
  • The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Dezvoltări recente în dreptul obligațiilor” has also provided an opportunity for sharing the theoretical knowledge and practical experience of recent revisions in the field of law.

The event of major importance for jurisprudence has contributed to the consolidation of the spectrum of perceptions and visions of this sphere of activity.

Besides the fact that more than 200 consecrated jurors, both national and international, participated directly at the conference, it was further watched by more than 2,000 notorious personalities in the field of law. Among these are Christian von Bar (Germany), Professor Roman Bevzenko (Russia), Professor Natalia Kuznetsova (Ukraine), Professor Farhad Caragusov (Kazakhstan), Irina Sverdian (Romania), and outstanding lawyers from the Republic of Moldova - among them: Aurel Băieşu, university professor, judge at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova; Octavian Cazac, professor MSU; Nicolae Rosca, Head of the Private Law Department, MSU; Sergiu Baiesu, university professor, as well as other notorious lawyers. This, in fact, highlights the importance of the event for Moldovan jurisprudence.

In conclusion, it should be noted that in view of the International Conferences of this kind, the Republic of Moldova is a step closer to the development and evolution in the legal field.
